Pay On Time!

Effective August 1, 2005, Buzix will not offer a payment grace period for Reseller Accounts. We encourage you to keep a valid credit card on file so that you can be billed automatically each month. Accounts not paid by the invoice due date will be suspended and subject to a $25.00 reconnect fee.


FireFox Browser and SSL

Buzix offers a shared SSL certificate on each of our servers for customer sites to use. Our SSL certificate is a wildcard certificate which is assigned to our domainnameservers.net domain. Some Resellers are asking why the FireFox browser shows pop-up alerts when users access a SSL page from a customer site. The FireFox browser recognizes that you are using an SSL certificate that is not assigned to your domain, and therefore is alerting the user. While we are aware of this issue, the only resolution is to purchase your own SSL certificate. No problems have been found with other browsers.


New SSL Package, Time Limited Offer!

Buzix is now offering, for a limited time, an SSL certificate package for $120.00 per year which includes:

- Your CSR (Certificate Signing Request)
- Your Certificate Key installation
- Your own IP Address
- 128-bit encrypted SSL Certificate for a single domain

Resellers who wish to take advantage of this option will also need to choose a separate hosting package for the domain. Our hosting packages are located on our web site at http://www.buzix.com/linux.shtm


Reseller Privacy

For security reasons and to keep your business information private, Buzix does not accept inquiries from anyone other than our direct Reseller unless written authorization is provided to us. Our goal with this policy is to protect your accounts from being compromised and we ask that you help us to keep your information secure by working directly with your own clients. Please remember that Buzix Technical Support cannot give passwords over the phone or via chat. We can only email the passwords to the email address on file.


Nameservers and DNS


In an effort to control spammers, Buzix requires customers to use our nameservers or their private nameservers with us, for their site hosting. Please make sure that all of your domains hosted by us are pointing to either our nameservers, or are using your private nameservers. Our Name Servers are:

ns.domainnameservers.net     67.18.59.64
ns2.domainnameservers.net   67.18.60.64


Mailing List Tips

We currently offer Mailman Mailing List and phpList for our Linux-hosting customers. Here are some helpful tips to manage your Mailing List:

1. Always use a clean email list. Remove any subscriber email addresses that are returned to you as undeliverable.
2. Always include a way for a user to remove their email address from your list. Typically this would be an 'unsubscribe' link.
3. Do not add people to your mailing list who have not asked to subscribe to it. Unsolicited emails are considered spam.
4. Buzix allows each domain to send 500 mail pieces per hour. Consider limiting your mailing list or have multiple mailing lists.
5. If someone asks to be removed from your list, remove them immediately.
