MX Records
An MX Record defines the mail server responsible for a domain name. By default, Buzix hosted domains use the mail server for the domain, Like this:
mail.buzix.com or mail.mydomain.net
An MX Record has a "preference number" which determines the order in which the mail server should be used. Mail servers attempt to deliver emails to the server with the lowest preference number first.
There is a $20 per domain fee to customize an MX record.
Please email billing@buzix.com with the MX record changes.
We will need to know the following:
- the domain the MX record is for
- the preference number and IP addresses for the MX entries
When you request customization of an MX, you will need to contact the company or service that is providing your mail services if you experience
difficulties.
